Course Description
In Fascial Manipulation® Level 3, students will expand their skill to evaluate and treat patients with symptoms of both musculoskeletal and internal dysfunction. This course consists of a hybrid 13 hr. video plus a three-day hands-on session.
Numerous treatment demonstrations and practice will highlight this course in order to improve the ability of the participants to assess and treat what are known as tensile, apparatus and system dysfunctions. Assessment chart analysis, clinical reasoning, hands-on skills, and treatment strategies will be emphasized.
Fascial Manipulation® Level 3 will allow participants to approach patients in a global way to:
- resolve locomotor problems (treated using levels 1 & 2) that do not respond.
- resolve functional internal problems due to internal dysfunction.

Learning Objectives of the FM Level 3
At the conclusion of the course, the participant should be able to:
- List the types of human internal fascia and understand the role of internal fascia in visceral pain. (Knowledge)
- Differentiate between somato-visceral and viscero-somatic type pain and assess the proper body tensostructures. (Analysis)
- Develop effective treatment for internal pain, visceral dysfunction and referred pain. (Synthesis)
- Evaluate the quality of the internal fascia through a specific palpatory verification resolving the tissue stiffness. (Evaluation)

Some typical functional conditions that may respond in Level 3
The video level 3 to be received by students before the hands-on three day session is replete with technique and conditions treatable by Fascial Manipulation®. Below represents only a minimal amount of conditions described on the hybrid:
Spinal, shoulder, chest pain (noncardiac), kidney, cdrvical, thoracic, lumbar and pelvic functional complaints. Gastritis, reflux, bloating, shallow breathing, polyuria, urinary incontinence, hypertension, sensations of lump in throat, dysphagia, constipation/diarrhea, borderline thyroid dysfunction, idiopathic abdominal wall pain. Conditions related to the cephalic area such as otitus media, cervicogenic dizziness and many more conditions too numerous to mention.
It is essential that students sign up for level 3 at least one month before hands-on to familiarize themselves with the video information.
Level 3 Fascial Manipulation® consists of:
Online Section (must be completed prior to attendance to live section)
- Lectures are approximately 13 hours
- There is a quiz at the end that must be completed prior to attending live in-person section
- Course participant must enroll on the Stecco® education Platform to review and complete online portion

Instructors
Dr. Antonio Stecco
Dr. Stecco is a graduate in Medicine and Surgery, and specialized in Physics Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Padua, Italy. His areas of prevalent scientific and clinical interest are anatomy of the fascia corporis via dissections and histological studies, including immunohistochemical and molecular biology; study and clinical application of hyaluronic acid; and myofascial syndrome. Following the techniques developed by his father, Luigi Stecco, PT, Dr. Stecco co-authored with his sister, Carla Stecco, MD Fascial Manipulation for Musculoskeletal Pain (Piccin, 2004). He is the author of more than twelve articles published in international journals. Dr. Stecco was recently elected Assistant-President in the Cabinet of the International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also the author of 20 articles in journals, all relating to the category of disciplinary scientific sector MED/34, presentation at international conferences, including one Best Poster Award and three chapters in English text.
