About Our Registry of Certified Nerve Conduction and Neuro Ultrasound Technicians
Our certification is the formal recognition that the graduate has demonstrated proficiency in the knowledge and performance of nerve conduction and neuro ultrasound studies in both the classroom and the laboratory. The certified technician must provide your tests in accordance within the appropriate state practice act.
The successful graduate of the AACE or ECB NCV and/or Neuro Ultrasound certificate program has the opportunity to join technician registry programs sponsored by the American Academy of Clinical Electrodiagnosis, LLC. Approved technicians are permitted to use the terms “Nerve Conduction Technologist-Certified’’ and “Neuro Ultrasound Technologist-Certified’’.
You may use the shortened versions ‘NCT-C’ and ‘NUT-C’ along with unique registration number (for example, John Smith, NCT-C 11-1022 / John Smith, NUT-C 11-1022) on all correspondence/documentation related to the performance of nerve conduction and neuro ultrasound studies completed.
The registry will be maintained online with your number and email contact information (subject to your written approval) enabling potential employers to contact the registered technician.
The registry number may be used for a period of three-years after which the technician must re-apply to AACE for continued active status.
